Ground Attack were a three piece band formed in Stevenage, Kent in 1979 by singer/guitarist Tom "Katz" Atkinson.
Ground Attack’s sound is what you would expect from NWOBHM, classic heavy metal with a punk influence.
Completing the original line up was Mel Collins on Bass and Tab Hunter on Drums.
After a four song 1979 demo entitled "The Lost Tapes" and their 1981 "Red Lion" single, the original line up disbanded in 1982.
In 2003 Tom reformed the band with new members Corrie Shiells on Bass and Matt Alan on the Drums.
They released a full length album entitled "Sectioned" in 2004, which contained some original songs which were lost in 1980.
